Consumed by Shadows
I still remember everything. All the pain and fear. As if it happened yesterday. But it didn’t and I still can’t forget anything that happened. It’s burnt into my brain and I don’t think I’ll ever forget. It all began when I started seeing the shadows.’
Shadows are harmless, they should be anyway. Lucy Davis was never afraid of the dark. Shadows were just shadows, nothing more; so why did she feel like she was being watched, followed? What did the nightmares mean? Why did she keep hearing the haunting song? The one that followed her during the day. Before she was filled with the fear of darkness, Lucy’s biggest problem was whether or not her best friend Jeremy liked her, and if he did what to do about it. Now she has to worry about her sanity. Are the shadows real? Was she just being paranoid? People usually always worried about what was lurking around in the dark, that’s why they were scared. It just wasn’t right to be scared of the darkness itself
